Veritas Designs

Hi again. Another review for you today – PT Beardmore of Veritas Designs sent me a few of his items to check out. In PT’s words, Veritas Designs focuses “mainly on docks, bridges, and pretty things to ornament your landscaped property.” It seems to be a fairly small collection at this point, but I like what I’ve seen. Check out the goodies PT sent over…

That’s the Small Covered Bridge, above. I love covered bridges, just in general…this one is cute and rustic and I <3 it. The textures are great, and I like the little details of the candles and the arched accents on the side. I may have to create an area on my sim that needs to be bridged.

Next is the Rustic Dock – it’s simple, nothing fancy, and also well textured. This would be great on a lake or pond with some super comfy seating and lots of plants and flowers.

PT also sent me his Flower Cart – really cute, nice and shabby and rustic – I’ve got this displayed on my sim now. What’s really cool is that this cart is available at Operation Squeegee, where 100% of proceeds are donated to a fundraiser for the National Wildlife Federation, to aid in recovery from the Gulf oil spill. Operations Squeegee ends July 15th (I’m so behind ), so be sure to check that out now!

I did swing by PT’s shop to see what else he has, and I adore the Tiny Church! I’m not sure if this is rezzed anywhere for viewing, but the picture looks precious.

Spruce Up Your Space…again!

Welcome to February Weekend 2 of Spruce Up Your Space! We continue this month’s theme of “Cupid’s House” - our designers were asked to envision what Cupid’s off-hours space looks like – maybe he’s a slob, maybe he’s into a bit of kink, maybe he’s homeless! A different set of designers will be releasing their items each weekend in February, at discounted prices for that weekend only!

This weekend, Second Spaces is up and I’ve got some really cute stuff for you! The way I figure it, Cupid’s a regular guy — he works his 9 to 5, and at the end of a long day, he comes home and starts to unwind. He needs somewhere to hang his wings and his quiver, store his arrows, sit down to change his shoes, and of course, check his mail. So I give you – Cupid’s Hall.

For this weekend only, pick up the Mail Center set for $125L and the Bench & Shelf set for just $150L! You get all the items and accessories shown in the pics, plus a texture change rug! In the Mail Center, be sure to click the chalkboard, too – it cycles thru three different message textures.

The accessories are soft-linked with the furniture, which means it’s easy for you to switch them out for your own, slightly less-Cupidish items.

‘Twas 3 days before Christmas…

…and Elle was scrambling to post a final holiday wrap up. So, while you’re still decorating, check these out!

The Loft – Morgan Christmas scene: this set has already taken the grid by storm, and rightfully so, but I’m still gonna post it, because it is awesome. AWESOME.

Next, from Ambiance, the “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” Dining set…and fyi, that table will see some action above and beyond kissing. Great animations included, as we’ve come to expect from Ambiance…and more pretty ornaments! The shiny gets me every time!

I also checked out the holiday location of MB-Creationz by Minke Bailey. I have seen Minke’s work before, and it’s good stuff. Her holiday collection is filled with color and whimsy, and definitely worth taking a look! There’s a lot to see, so here’s just a sampler!

The next set isn’t technically holiday-themed, but it is the Winter Livingroom, so it counts! Recently released from MudHoney, this is a great casual set, very rustic and organic. I love all the pillows on the sofa, and the slippers are such a cute touch!

The Second Spaces Santa’s Escape Design Contest comes to a close this Saturday!
