Home Expo Goodness – part 4

Standard

Fornicola Butuzova and Amo Lambeau of Pre Fabulous have done it again! They are premiering their latest house, the Modern House One, at Home Expo, and it is breathtaking!

As always with Pre Fabulous houses, the Modern House One is stunningly textured with gorgeous light and shadow and includes amazing details. I also like that it’s such a grand house without feeling cavernous — there’s plenty of room, but not so much room that you can’t make it cozy.

I love the artwork that’s included in the house, and that curved sofa is all retro groovy, which I totally dig! You really need to see this house in person to fully appreciate it…and even if you’re not in the market for a house like this, be sure to check out the decorative items that can be purchased separately for RFL!

Oh, and speaking of light and shadows, look at the detail in the next two pics. All that shadow and light is baked in to the texture!!

Some more things around Home Expo that make me happy!

The LoftColleen Desmoulins has a gorgeous new dining set out at Expo! Love!! She’s also got some really cute items out for RFL, so be sure to grab those!

I like the exterior of this house from Julia Hathor of Creative Fantasy. It’s not really my style, but I do enjoy the fairy tale feel of it.

This may not be a new set, but either way, I love that Julez Odigaunt of Julia Collection has expanded on her Sloppy Cupid set that she created for SUYS last year! This makes me giggle every time!! ♥

Tegan Sideshow of Modest House is at Home Expo 2011 and has brought some really cute prefabs. I’ve always really enjoyed Tegan’s work — her textures tend to be so soft, and I really like that. Also, her designs are usually a little outside the norm, in a really good way – she frequently surprises me with her floor plans and little architectural details. PLUS, most of her houses are pretty small and cozy, and that’s my favorite way to go!

Some of my favorites from the Modest House display at Expo:

The Boho House

The Launay House

The Ames House (my most favorite!)

I’ve made it around 2 of the Home Expo sims so far! I’m gonna keep working my way around and will share the things that catch my eye over the next few days, so keep checking back!

Here’s a quick look at a few things I found today that I like!!

Tuscan Pavilion from Cory Edo’s Trompe Loeil – so grand!

I think everyone should have a ready supply of cute rugs for decorating all of your spaces! Stein Shilova has a great assortment to choose from at Sea Salt – they’re copy/mod, which is perfect – and she’s even got a bunch of really cute ones in a Gatcha board for just 45L each!

This is a new-to-me designer: Kristina Ferraris of Italica Interior Design. I think this little wine bistro set is really cute!

It’s time!!

This year marks the 4th anniversary of the Home & Garden Expo benefitting Relay For Life of Second Life.  The 2011 Expo will open on Friday, May 13th at NOON SLT, and remain open 24 hours each day until it closes on May 22nd at 10pm SLT .  This year’s extravaganza will span TEN sims and over 100 exhibits!

New from Second Spaces:

Aunt Betsy’s Art Shed! Uncle Hank has his potting shed – where he spends an unusual amount of time – so Aunt Betsy decided to create her own spot to get away. Built from re-purposed barn boards and vintage stained glass windows salvaged from the Old First Third Friends’ Church, Aunt Betsy has created a tranquil getaway where she can express her creativity and ease her mind about what Hank does in that shed all day.

This set includes everything you see! Available exclusively at the Expo, this entire set is being offered at a sale price of just $500L for the duration of the event!

Also new: the Tweet Living Set!

Inspired by mid-century design, this funky living set is just right for your den or living room, or even your swinging bachelor/ette sun room! Available exclusively at the Home Expo.

I’ve also got 2 new items for which 100% of the proceeds will go to Relay For Life! Introducing the Regan Dresser:

…and the Meghan Dessert Bar!
