*Second Spaces* New release – Ashlyn Sewing Set!

I am happy to introduce the Ashlyn Sewing Room! Growing up, my mom did a lot of sewing, and I seemed to spend most Saturdays in the fabric store…browsing pattern books, walking around looking at all the bolts of fabric, checking out the ribbons and buttons…I’ve never had any inclination to learn how to sew myself, but there’s something very comforting about a sewing room and its accessories. That’s what I had in mind when I created this set – come by the shop to see it up close!

Furniture pieces include their accompanying accessories, and you can also buy just the accessory packs on their own!

*Designer Review/New Release* Belle Belle – Dafodil House

A quick post to share another great release from Belle Belle designer Leyla Firefly! To accompany her furniture set of the same name, Leyla offers the Dafodil House – a cute, simple, and just-right sized prefab.

I really love the little yard areas that are included – I had this rezzed up on my sky platform, so imagine how much cuter this would be on actual land! The yard areas add a nice ready-made landscaping to the house – very creative touch. 🙂

Inside the Dafodil, it’s 2 large rooms downstairs and 1 upstairs. Dear readers, you know I am not a fan of the mega-houses we so often see in SL, and that’s why I say this is just-right sized. Plenty of room to fit in some nice pieces and lots of accents, but not so much room that you can never fill it. This would be an easy house to decorate to the point of “cozy”.

The pictures above are of the first floor. I love the large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The curtains are scripted to close, too, if you need the privacy. There is a small kitchen in the corner – just a sink and a few cabinets, and those can be removed if you choose. Upstairs is an L-shaped bedroom – which would be great for a sleeping area AND a sitting area — with a nice bathroom tucked into the corner.

The bathroom items can be removed, too. The house overall is 207 prims (155 of those are the kitchen and bath objects), and needs a parcel at 2560 sqm minimum.  You can pick up a mod/copy/no transfer version for $1990L at Belle Belle; the sale board is located next to the Dafodil furniture set.

Leyla also has the May freebie available in store now – located to the right of the main entrance – a super cute herb rack!

*New Release* Colleen Living set

A new set today: the Colleen Living set. It’s a different look and feel than my recent releases — a bit more sleek, maybe a bit more modern. Whatever it may be, I love it. 🙂

The sofa and chairs include (mostly) custom animations, and once again, the anims are menu-driven. The side chairs come as two separate options: sidechair, and sidechair with ottoman. There are different anims in the two chairs. AND, for the very first time, Second Spaces is animated! Watch out, world! The sideboard and tall cabinet both come with animated doors…ooooohhhhh!

*Second Spaces* New Release!

Yay for new stuff! Technically, this is a recolor of my Marie set, but I’m calling it a new release because 1) I can 🙂 and 2) it also has new stuff.

Here’s the story: Swan Ling, owner/designer for Spoon!/Olive Juice, also happens to be my RL sister. She asked if I would create some grungy stuff for her to use in her main shop, and thus the Spoooon! set was born. Ta da! I found just the perfect old shipping container and some recyclable wood, grabbed my favorite skull fabric, and away I went! Available in pink and in green upholstery:

Be sure to check over the sofas closely — I’ll admit it, I still giggle when I look at the back:
