I am so excited to see some new home & garden stuff from NOTsoBAD!! Emilie Freund and the NsB team have been pretty busy with mesh clothes recently…which is awesome…but I did miss seeing their handiwork with mesh houses and furniture. NOW I HAVE BEEN SATISFIED.

NOTsoBAD has recently released a new prefab, and I’ll tell ya – this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while! It’s like two prefabs in one — the Charly Lobby – a fancy lobby complete with mailboxes and an elevator…AND you can rez the Ines Skybox (up to 6 apartment skyboxes) right off of the lobby! I LOVE THIS IDEA. If I had 6 friends, I would ask them to move in. Maybe.

The elevator doesn’t actually work – I was so hoping it did — but it does look great. So, once you rez the lobby, as seen above, you’ve got two doors on each floor. Just click the doorbell/button outside the door and ta da!! A gorgeous apartment rezzes right inside that very same door!

Beautiful mesh and wonderful lights and shadows all over the place. ♥ It’s big enough to give you a lot of freedom in decorating, but not so big that it feels cold. It comes with a surround so you can look out the window onto other buildings. Also, you can derez the lobby part and the rezzed apartments will stay in place, so you can have just a really nice skybox if you don’t want to have the lobby permanently rezzed. LOVE.

Ella

I am always very excited to see a review folder from Emilie Freund and NOTsoBAD! Emilie sent me the newest set – Ella – and as always, it’s just gorgeous.

It’s a simple set, but so wonderfully detailed and textured. All the shadows are baked in and all the pieces have such great depth…plus it just looks really comfy.

I love the coffee table, and especially the floor shadows under the table. Perfect!

The upholstery textures are so pretty – I can just imagine the nubby wool on the cushions. This is a great neutral palette, too, so it would work really well with almost any colors in your room.

I love the wood texture, too…I’m always a sucker for great wood (heh). Emilie also did a great job of bringing all these wooden slats together for a really low prim count. The chairs are 9 prims, the sofa is 14, and the table is just 4. Nice!

ohhi, Soho!

Dear NOTsoBAD Team,

I heart you.

Kthx, Elle.

Emilie Freund of NOTsoBAD sent me their latest amazingness, the Soho Loft Skybox. As with everything that NsB puts out, the Soho has amazing textures and shadows/lighting, gorgeous attention to detail, and it makes my heart go pitter-patter. Please to take a look:

[sigh] The skybox is available with and without the outside surround…I chose to show you pics with the surround because it’s gorgeous! It puts you right in the heart of downtown!

The center wall, the paintings, and the fireplace are all included, and can also all be moved or removed. This is an amazing build that’s perfect for contemporary chic decor – I love the idea of the rough brick, concrete, and exposed pipes mixed with lots of glitz & glam. Perfect!

BOW = WOW

I know I gush about NOTsoBAD alot on this blog…and I don’t really plan to stop that anytime soon. FYI. Emilie Freund of the NsB team sent me their latest – the BOW Apartment Skybox. Oh Em Gee. So simple, and so awesome. Just an open loft-style apartment, done amazingly well.

I absolutely love the mix of modern with rustic. The textures are gorgeous, and (as always) all that lovely light and shadow is built right in – no SL-enabled shadows for me!

There are controls for the windows, so you can have them half-shaded, like in the pics, or completely open or completely shaded. I adore the details in this space – the timber beams are perfect!

You also get the option of changing the wall color on the TV wall – there are about 18 colors to choose from! A set of neutrals, and a set of beautiful pastels. Here’s a sample:

It’s like candy!

Be sure to stop by NOTsoBAD to see the BOW Apartment yourself – seriously, if you’re a skybox dweller, this is a must-see! (and only $2490L for this texture-baked yumminess!)

NsB = OMG

Standard

It’s a big week at Second Spaces for the awesome design team over at NOTsoBAD. I just blogged a few of their furniture sets a few days ago…and then they were kind enough to send me their most recent prefab release, and oh. em. gee. I had seen the Eams Modern House here and there around the blogosphere, but to see it up close and in person – SO much better. Which means that, after you read this post, you MUST get over to NsB and check it out. K? K.

Look at that! Now, while I am mostly a shabby chic, vintage kind of gal, I simply cannot resist well-done modern! And this, my friends, is superbly well-done. This is a really pic-heavy post, and the pics speak for themselves, so I’m not gonna say much(-ish)…but I do want to be sure to tell you that I do not have shadows enabled for these, so all that delicious shadow and light you see is built right in to the textures. ♥
